News Tune is an app that brings together links and feeds from Bangladesh's leading Bangla newspapers in one place, so you can browse the day's headlines without switching between dozens of sites. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
News Tune is built to work with minimal personal information. Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
- Device and usage data — device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and how you interact with the app (such as which newspaper sections you open), collected automatically through analytics tools.
- Advertising identifiers — a resettable device identifier (such as Google's Advertising ID) used to show and measure ads, if the app displays advertising.
- Crash and diagnostic reports — technical logs generated when the app encounters an error, used to fix bugs and improve stability.
- Notification tokens — if you enable push notifications for breaking news, a device token is used to deliver alerts to your device.
News Tune does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or phone number to read news.

Third-party newspapers and content
News Tune aggregates publicly available headlines, summaries, and links from third-party Bangla newspapers and publishers. When you tap on a story, you may be taken to the publisher's own website or app, either within News Tune or in your device's browser. Once you leave News Tune, the privacy policy and practices of that publisher apply, not this one. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any newspaper or website you visit through the app.
Third-party services
News Tune may use third-party services to help operate the app, including analytics providers, crash-reporting tools, advertising networks, and push notification services (for example, Google Play services, Firebase, or comparable providers). These providers may collect information as described above under their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum information necessary for these services to function.
Permissions
News Tune may request the following device permissions:
- Internet access — required to load newspaper feeds, images, and articles.
- Notifications — optional, used only if you enable breaking news alerts.
- Storage/cache — used to temporarily cache articles and images for faster loading and limited offline reading.
You can review or revoke any permission at any time through your device settings.
Data retention and security
We retain usage and diagnostic data only for as long as needed to operate and improve the app, or as required by our service providers' retention policies. Children's privacy
News Tune is intended for a general news-reading audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your choices
- You can disable notifications at any time in your device or app settings.
- You can reset or limit your advertising identifier through your device's operating system settings.
- You can uninstall the app at any time, which stops all further data collection by News Tune.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Effective date" above when changes are made, and, where changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice within the app.
